The main benefits of working with me as your career coach are:
I have worked as a careers professional for 25 years now, so I can draw on a large store of experience, knowledge and understanding when working with clients.
In each session, we will be working towards
specific actions you can commit to, to make progress towards your goals.
With coaching, you will feel more confident and motivated about your
decisions and action plans.
The broad areas I can help with are:
I specialise in working with clients who have reached the poiunt where they are ready to take action to find a more enjoyable and fulfilling career. My job is to support and encourage you while you take time to explore and understand yourself better. You need to know more about who you are, your skills, interests, values and personality if you are to make your next career move the right one for you.
Then you will need to find out what options are available out there in the world of work and assess how well they meet your needs. This research stage is essential if your career decision is to be the right one.
Knowing yourself and having a clear understanding of the options open to you will lead to greater career satisfaction in the long run. Career success coaching will make sure that you are supported through this process. Find out more about career change coaching here.
Job Search Coaching
Once you have a clear sense of direction, then it is time to take action. Career coaching will help you define your action plan and then take the steps you need to land the job you are dreaming of.
This means looking at creative job search tactics, paying care and attention to the application stage – whether it is a CV or an application form and preparing for a successful performance at interview. I can help you get all of these right. Find out more about job search coaching here.
Career Development Coaching
Maybe you are simply looking for support in managing your day-to-day work? Or perhaps you would value some ongoing support while you settle into your new career? Career Development Coaching gives you the chance to take time out to think about what is happening at work. You can then consider what you are doing and explore ways of managing your work and your staff more effectively.
In a hectic working day, this time for reflection is often hard to find, so it can be extremely valuable to consciously carve out a space where you can talk with a completely independent coach. I will help you assess your situation and work out the best way forward to ensure your career success. Find out more about career development coaching here.
Coaching can be either face to face, by telephone or via Skype (or a combination of these) and coaching sessions usually last for 1 hour.
Before we begin working together, I ask you to complete an initial pre-coaching questionnaire, which will form the basis of our work together. However, the focus of each session is always on the issues you bring.
If you are working on a complete career change, there will usually be additional related information and exercises for you to work on as we proceed.
My experience has shown me that Coaching Programmes are most helpful to enable clients to work through issues in more detail. When considering a major change of direction, it is beneficial to take some time to work through the issues thoughtfully.
In an initial conversation, I will discuss with you which coaching programme is likely to meet your needs and we will work at intervals agreed with you.
