Your Career Success Coach
How can I help?
My job as your Career Success Coach is to support, encourage and inspire you to move forward with your career ideas.
If you are feeling stuck or unmotivated, career coaching can help you find new energy and direction.
If you just need some time and space to reflect on the challenges you are facing at work, coaching can provide it.
Whatever your situation, career coaching will help you to understand yourself better, assist you in exploring all of your options and then creating realistic goals.
Main benefits
The main benefits of career coaching are that you will get individual, focused attention for you and you concerns. You have a regular opportunity to concentrate totally on how you want to grow and develop your career.
My task is to support, encourage and sometimes to challenge you. I will help you focus your attention by asking questions to encourage you to think about what you want to achieve and how you can achieve it. I will also suggest a range of career exploration exercises to help you assess yourself and your career vision.
We will be working towards specific actions you can commit to, to make progress towards your goals. With coaching, you will feel more confident and motivated about your decisions and action plans.
- Career Planning
- Career planning supports you while you take time to understand yourself better. If you want to make the right career choice, you need to take the time to explore who you are and clarify exactly what you are looking for.
Then you will need to find out what options are available out there in the world of work and assess how well they meet your needs. This research stage is essential if your career decision is to be the right one.
Knowing yourself and having a clear understanding of the options open to you will lead to greater career satisfaction in the long run. Career success coaching will make sure that you are supported through this process. Find out more here.
- Job Search
- Once you have a clear sense of direction, then it is time to take action. Career coaching will help you define your action plan and then take the steps you need to land the job you are dreaming of.
This means looking at creative job search tactics, paying care and attention to the application stage – whether it is a CV or an application form and preparing for a successful performance at interview. I can help you get all of these right. Find out more here.
- Professional Development
- Maybe you are simply looking for support in managing your day-to-day work? Professional Development Coaching gives you the chance to take time out to think. You can then consider what you are doing and explore ways of managing your work more effectively.
In a hectic working day, this time for reflection is often hard to find, so it can be extremely valuable to consciously carve out a space where you can talk with a completely independent coach. I will help you assess your situation and work out the best way forward to ensure your career success. Find out more here.
How do we work together?
Coaching can be either face to face or by telephone. Individual coaching sessions usually last for 1 hour and I often arrange a series of sessions in advance. 4 - 6 sessions allow time for some useful reflection and action planning.
Some of my specifically designed career programmes may be longer or shorter than this. Find out more about these under Coaching Services.
As your Career Success Coach, I am committed to providing the right level of support for your particular, individual needs. I look forward to helping you make the right career moves for you.
