The MBTI® Personality Assessment
Your Personality Can Be The Key To Choosing The Right Career
What is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator?®
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator®, or MBTI®, as it is often called, is the world's most widely used personality assessment. It is based on Carl Jung's theory of psychological type and was developed by mother and daughter team Katherine Briggs and Elizabeth Briggs-Myers over 50 years ago and it has continued to be refined by specialists ever since. The assessment focuses on your personal preferences in relation to: - Where you draw your natural energy from
- How you prefer to gather information
- How you make decisions
- What sort of lifestyle feels right for
Taking the MBTI® Personality Assessment can be a fantastic way of learning more about yourself and helping you to think about how your personal preferences may impact on your career. As a careers professional, I am a great fan of MBTI®® and I believe it is one of the most helpful personality assessments available, especially for anyone who is reviewing their career direction. Because the assessment has been developed, refined and tested over many years, it means you can be sure that the questions are well designed to measure your personality preferences and you will get a much more accurate result than from some of the free online personality tests available. With the results of a full MBTI®, you can be confident that you are using an accurate assessment of your personality as part of your overall career change planning. But remember that the results will depend partly on the way you respond to the questions. If you complete the questionnaire in a hurry without much thought, then you are less likely to get an accurate reflection of your real preferences. At the end of the day, the best judge of your true personality will always be you!
Your MBTI® Report and Feedback
You will receive a personalised MBTI® Profile which explains your results on the MBTI® Assessment. The report explains what the letters of your MBTI® 'type' mean and also how clearly your preferences were stated when you completed the questionnaire. You will also get: - A detailed description of your individual 'type'
- A summary of what the different types contribute at work
- A summary of the kind of work environment that will be preferred by each type
- The MBTI® Career Planning Model
- My Special Report Personality At Work which covers
- Personality Type and Decision Making
- Personality Type and Team Work
- Personality Type and Time Management
- Personality Type and Stress
I will arrange a 1 hour feedback session to go through your report with you. You are the final judge of your personality preferences and this discussion will help you to make a final self assessment. We then discuss what the results mean for you and for your current and future career plans.
